TY - RPRT AB - In large multi-tenanted office buildings there is a common cycle of ?fitout-stripout? which occurs regularly over the life of a building. Unfortunately, the physical waste and recurring embodied energy and greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) associated with this cycle are largely ignored. Wood based design solutions are well-placed to provide improved sustainability outcomes which better meet the arising needs and responsibilities of the property industry. This report provides an evidence-based research that aims to quantify and qualify specific aspects of the above problem, and then use this to develop design concepts that aim to solve the problem in a way that allows the property industry to reimagine office fitout using sustainably driven wood based approaches.
