TY - JOUR AB - Based on the operation of ten High-Tech enterprises with the introduction of Knowledge Management system in 2008-2010, Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Malmquist Productivity Analysis were applied to measuring the efficiency values of Total Efficiency (TE), Pure Technical Efficiency (PTE), and Scale Efficiency (SE) for the reference of further improvement in operational efficiency. In terms of overall efficiency, the empirical results showed the average efficiency in the three years being 0.87. Taiwanese Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSM) performed the best (0.98), followed by AU Optronics (AUO) (0.95) and D-Link (0.94), and Getac the worst (0.76) in 2008; TSM appeared the best (1.00) and Getac and SMC the worst (0.74) in 2009; and TSM presented the best (1.00), followed by AUO (0.96), and SMC the worst (0.77) in 2010. According to the above results, TSM showed the best performance in the three years, while Getac and SMC the worst. With Malmquist Productivity Analysis, TSM, D-Link, and AUO were approaching permanent Knowledge Management, while the rest High-Tech enterprises were required to introduce Knowledge Management System to get in permanent Knowledge Management.
