TY - CHAP AB - As more universities, colleges and schools adopt mobile learning, concerns have been voiced regarding the emergence of unethical behaviour. This paper examines a range of ethical issues and analyses the reasons for them. A framework for an ethical approach to mobile learning is put forward in which harm minimization is balanced with both the need to prepare students for living in a mobile world and the benefits of an approach to learning which has advantages for students from diverse backgrounds. A case is made for the adoption of an ethic of responsibility by educators, administrators and students.
