The Institute for Cultural Diversity is a new NGO committed to the development of a more tolerant and open Australia. In partnership with the Australian Human Rights Commission and the Cosmopolitan Civil Societies Research Centre at UTS, and with support from the Department of Attorney General, the Institute has created a new open source based web environment, designed to stimulate ideas and discussion about cultural diversity in Australia, and issues of Muslim involvement in Australian society more particularly. This paper reports on the development of the project and explores some of its potential applications.
