dc.description.abstract This paper aims to link the use of sound amplification technology to the Acousmatic theory as conceived by Pierre Schaeffer. The argument pursued here is part of my multi-disciplinary PhD thesis that researches the influence of the use amplification technology on music from Semiotic, Sociology of Music and Aesthetic perspectives.
