The article highlights the outcome of an Australian national study of perioperative nurses who were asked to examine relationships between demographic characteristics and domains of perioperative competence. The authors' study involved 3,209 operating nurses who were members of the Australian College of Operating Room Nurses and were asked to complete the Perceived Perioperative Competence Scale -Revised.
