Lichtrythmus.02 is projection refraction object. Using an iPad as a projection source I created approx. 5 minutes of animated / film content that is then projected up and through planes of perspex contained in black viewing box. I designed an object in the form of a black box with a viewing aperature through which viewers are able to view the digital animation as reflected montage seen through the planes of perspex. The film content comprises original visualised animation motion capture, slow motion stock video and excerpts of Walter Ruttman's animation sequence from Fritz Lang's film "Die Nebelungen". The work is inspired by the flight of Wotan's two magical ravens from Wagers "Gotterdammerung".
