Understanding The Key Attributes for a Successful Innovation Culture

This paper presents research on innovation culture in Australian organisations in the Information Technology Sector, with a survey sent to the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) commercial members' executive. The survey was designed to determine organisational cultural traits that determine innovation culture from the perspectives of their employees and competitors. 244 responses were received from 102 organisations. A detailed analysis of the research data using qualitative and quantitative methods leads to the conclusion that the perceived innovation traits. The study confirmed that the employer organisations had very good innovation cultures, and this view was further confirmed by responses from their competitor organisations. The paper teases out some of the cultural traits that lead to these outcomes.
