Abstract:

This article examines the responses of the Chinese liberal camp to the political predicament in contemporary. In particular, it provides an analysis on the evolution of the Chinese communist party-state from a totalitarian regime to a post-totalitarian regime and the unrelenting efforts made by the Chinese liberal camp to resist the repression and create conditions for China’s transformation to constitutional democracy.
