In this paper, a general-purpose fuzzy controlled charger for a set of Ni-Cd batteries is investigated, Simulated and experimentally tested. The fuzzy controller applied to a BUCK converter as a battery charging system and during the charge process, battery temperature and voltage variations are used as controller input variables and charge current as output . Battery voltage and temperature are kept safe and stable during the charging process. Experimental results also confirmed by computer simulation and show control potentialities.
