© 2017 IEEE. In this paper, we propose a model based on random cellular networks and 3GPP recommendations for LTE-Advanced to analyse the performance of Joint Scheduling in Rayleigh fading channel. The operation of Joint Scheduling is divided into two phases. During the establishment phase, a typical user measures received signals from K coordinated Base Station (BSs) and selects the BS with the highest Signal-to-Interference-Noise Ratio (SINR). This is followed by the data transmission during the communication phase. The performance of the typical is defined as the conditional probability of coverage probability during the communication phase under condition of the establishment phase. The analytical results which are verified by Monte Carlo simulation can be expanded for both cases of non-Joint Scheduling and the worst case user.
