dc.description.abstract	This chapter examines an example of fashion design activism in relation to the general theme of the edited collection, fashion and time, in particular to the idea of uchronia (an hypothetical of fictional time) explored in the third section of the book. The chapter reads the story of Serpica Naro, a fictitious fashion designer invented by a collective of precarious fashion workers as a design intervention that took place in Milan Fashion Week in 2005. The chapter proposes that this design intervention functioned as an alternate history, a concept closely related to uchronia, because it showed how fashion could possibly have a different development based on a shared brand and commoning of resources.	en_US
