The second episode in a series about Australia’s little-known relationship with East Germany, tracing the growing discontent in East Germany in the 1980s. In the 1970s, Australian became one of the first Western nations to recognise the communist state as a country. But inside the Australian Embassy in Berlin, the East Germany secret police, the Stasi, are monitoring every phone call and message they can. Meanwhile, an Indigenous rock band tours East Germany while anti-government protests are brewing. And just like the wall itself, one person’s dedication to communism will come crashing down.
