The University of Technology (UTS) was engaged by White Ribbon Australia in 2017 to evaluate the Breaking the Silence Schools Program (BtS), which is a primary prevention program that has been run in Australian schools since 2009. The BtS program provides professional learning for principals and teachers to give them foundational knowledge, tools and strategies to encourage, enable and support respectful relationships and violence prevention in schools. UTS developed the evaluation approach that integrates a suite of research methods and data sources from previous internal evaluations and program materials. The report presents the findings and recommendations from this evaluation.
