dc.description.abstract	This project mapped the national climate services capabilities in Australia. It was undertaken by researchers at the University of Technology Sydney partnering with the National Environmental Science Program (NESP) Earth Systems and Climate Change (ESCC) Hub. The climate services capability in Australia was established around 30 years ago, mainly through development and delivery of Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) seasonal climate forecasts and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) multi-decadal climate projections, with further development of this capability through multiple providers in recent years. The climate services sector has changed rapidly over the last few years with a range of stakeholders interacting from research institutions and associated platforms, government actors (including federal, state and local government), NGOs (both international and national) and the private sector.
