Ian Andrews is a leading Australian media artist who has been experimenting with audio online since the mid 1990s. Initially working with Flash for delivery of his audio works in a bandwidth-restricted environment, he began exploring the compositional potentials of the software. He has worked with randomized audio and recently video and has used generative techniques (random number generation, permutative structures, and graphics and sound interaction) to produce aleatoric music graphics and text. © 2008 IEEE.
