dc.description.abstract	The site visit has played a vital role at the beginning of any spatial design project, yet despite developments in technology, has remained largely an act of observation and recording. This research proposes the synthesis of a software field kit and mode of working to allow efficient, affordable on-site landscape analysis to become a feasible part of the typical site visit. It develops the rationale behind an on-site analysis technique, its synthesis, application considerations, case studies of its application, and development potential and implications for the disciplines of landscape architecture and spatial design.

Abstract:

The site visit has played a vital role at the beginning of any spatial design project, yet despite developments in technology, has remained largely an act of observation and recording. This research proposes the synthesis of a software field kit and mode of working to allow efficient, affordable on-site landscape analysis to become a feasible part of the typical site visit.
