dc.description.abstract	This article first explores the resulting political stagnation in debates about how to address climate change, drawing on local and international examples. Second it seeks to invigorate those debates by drawing on the social theory of environmental change. It focuses on three perspectives - eco-modernisation, eco-limits and eco-socialism, and discusses them in terms of what they prescribe for climate crisis. The article ends by outlining some themes for sustained engagement between ecology and socialism on the question climate crisis.	en_US
