dc.description.abstract	Respiratory disease is a global health issue causing increased death rate. Significant research has been done in understanding the fundamental mechanism of lung disease for managing patient’s health with a range of respiratory diseases. Regardless of these researches, still there is inadequate disease prediction before the occurrence of symptoms, effective treatment, as well as effective drug target. This chapter emphasizes the prospect and challenges associated with genomics and molecular characterization of lung disease. It also highlights the mechanism of lung injury and repair and translational medicine for lung disease with cutting-edge technologies in the management of lung disease.
