dc.description.abstract	This paper will discuss the growing interest in transdisciplinarity and consider its implications for teaching and learning at primary, secondary and tertiary levels. Transdisciplinarity is distinct from multidisciplinarity and interdisciplinarity but there is confusion about what it actually is: the terms have been to some degree used interchangeably. The paper will seek to clarify understandings of what transdisciplinarity means and how it may contribute to the idea and work of schools and universities, and encourage viable links between them.	en_US
