In this paper, new solutions to address the cross-band mutual scattering issue that causes the distortion of radiation patterns in dual-band antenna arrays are presented. A capacitance-loaded high-band (HB) element is innovated to mitigate the influence of HB elements on low-band (LB) radiation. A choking technique is implemented in LB antenna design to minimize the influence of the LB elements on HB radiation. A dual-band array section with the capacitance-loaded HB elements and double-arm choked LB element is fabricated and tested. The experimental results demonstrate that the cross-band scattering in the dual-band array is largely eliminated, and the array achieves stable radiation performance across well-matched bands.
