Like a virus version of Frederick the Great, you took 2020 by surprise proclaiming, “Think as much as you want, and about anything you want, but do not leave your house.” That is, at least, how Meister Kant might have put it. Unlike any other teacher, you confined us, then allowed us to use our understanding autonomously. Without prescribing anything, we had the chance to abandon laziness and cowardice, muster the courage to break from guardianship, and think for ourselves.
