Broadband polarization insensitive transmissive metasurfaces were proposed for anomalous refraction with 45° polarisation conversion and vortex beams with 90° polarisation conversion. By using four-way phase delay lines and a transmitting-receiving (Tx-Rx) antenna, the meta-atom can realise both a full-cycle (2π) transmission phase and polarisation conversion. The polarisation conversion and tilted beam angle are fixed with different incident polarisations of electromagnetic (EM) waves. The additive manufacturing technique is used to fabricate two prototypes.
