Blockchain is being used in the supply chain from a local to a global scale with its ever increasing maturity and ubiquity However in the presence of information flow from a subjective source with no digital footprint such as a claim or a promise there is a gap in the application of the Blockchain framework in supply chain risk management perspective The existing mechanisms such as Proof of Work PoW Proof of Authority PoA or Proof of Stake PoS do not verify and validate subjective information presented in Service level agreement SLA We address this open issue in this paper by proposing the Proof by Earnestness PoE consensus mechanism that aims to validate the authenticity and legitimacy of such information Subjective Information Authenticity Earnestness Framework SIAEF seeks to be a decentralised application to enable the trustworthiness of subjective information to become accountable
