This paper proposes a novel three-port converter using a single-shared inductor for output voltage regulation and a single-shared inductor for battery management. The converter is capable to not only perform MPPT but it can also perform battery charging for multiple storage units and control the amount of current going into each storage unit individually. The detailed circuit configuration is provided in this paper, and the concept was verified using simulation results in LTSpice Simulator. The final prototype is in progress; full experimental results included in the final paper.
