A 50 Gbps real time THz wireless communication system is demonstrated and presented here Based on the previously developed 30 Gbps system various improvement is made in baseband hardware and algorithm and front end configuration the system signal to noise ratio SNR is increased by around 7 dB enabling the 64 QAM modulation scheme across the 10 GHz bandwidth The wireless link is demonstrated at a 40 cm distance with a bit error rate BER measured at 10 7 The presented high speed THz system demonstrates the potential for future high speed communications beyond 5G technology namely back hauls macro cellulars and indoor wireless communications
