This seminar is Part 1 of Seminar 2 of the 2007 Cosmopolitan Civil Societies Lecture Series. Dr Christina Ho approaches Cultural Citizenship and Multicultural Politics by taking a broad look at multicultural policy in Australia and critiquing recent policy developments in particular the disappearance of multiculturalism itself. It analyses these shifts as reflections of both the Howard Government’s neo-liberal and neo-conservative agenda.
