A numerical model was developed for an integrated heat pump and water tank to predict the performance of the integrated system. Performance of a vapourtech heat pump was studied as it pumped heat from atmosphere into domestic water heater. It was noticed that in average for every 1kW used in the compressor, up to three kW is transferred into water heater. In an integrated system the water tank, the condenser, the evaporator and the compressor were numerically modeled. The predicted temperature from the models were experimentally verified and the error was explained. It is an ongoing project for computational modeling and the detail experimental results are outlined separately.
