The primary objective of this paper was to present astudy on the metrics which can be applied to the SoftwareEvaluation Framework. The paper presents the results ofa preliminary study, which focuses on the measurementsapplied to the framework. It provides a description of themetrics used and an analysis of how they compare toeach other in the measurement of the softwarecharacteristics. This objective was accomplished byempirically testing the model with quantitativetechniques. An earlier qualitative study provided a list ofmetrics, which were then tested with the quantitativestudy described in this paper. The results of this studyare important as it identifies the metrics, perceived bystakeholders as essential for applying the SoftwareEvaluation Framework to software evaluation.
