In the Wings, one component of the landmark Creative Australia and the Ballet Russes program, presented the work of three contemporary visual artists; Wendy Sharpe, Tania Mason and myself, all of whom had been invited to create new work in response to designs by Ballets Russes artists and The Australian Ballets 2009 Ballets Russes program. The exhibition took place first at the Victorian Arts centre from the 6th of June to the 20th of September, 2009. It then toured Victorian Regional galleries from October 2009 to December 2010. A 32 page full colour exhibition catalogue with essays by the Arts Centre curators, and additional contributions from experts in the field was also produced. Most of the commissioned work was subsequently aquired by the Victorian Arts Centre and is housed in their collection.
