"Peak Time is the result of a generative research project into the photographic technique called slit-scanning. Presented as a large format print, the piece depicts the busiest time on the Sydney Train Network over three different days. It visualises every passing train between Central and Redfern station in a half hour period. This artistic representation of train movements shows the time, relative speed, direction and type of train that passed by this location. Originally, twenty five meters long, the image has been shrunk down in size. In order to show some of the original details, separate close up panels have been created to show specific moments in time."--www.educ.dab.uts.edu.au/vcgradshow2014/?portfolio=cameron-jones, viewed 13th July, 2015.
