The first author (Barbara Brandt) is the director of the National Center and created the original vision for its formation. The second author (Jill Thistlethwaite) was an Australian-American Fulbright senior scholar at the centre for 4 months in late 2014. We are presenting the chapter in a mix of first and third person voices to capture our personal reflections as well as more objective details on the progress of the centre. We begin with a history of the National Center, its vision and aims, its evaluation framework and the leadership model.	en_US
