dc.description.abstract	The aim of the project is to develop strategies to improve the experience of all participants involved in Audio Visual Link appearances between court and correctional facilities in the juvenile and adult jurisdictions. The project represents Stage 2 in a program of work undertaken by the UTS Design Team for the Justice Department’s AVL Project Group. In Stage 1 basic ergonomic and technical recommendations for AVL Studios in custodial contexts were developed, through a thorough literature review and user testing. In this project, Stage 2, we extend and build on this work with a focus on designing better, more equitable AVL experiences in the NSW justice system. A holistic system based approach was employed to consider the technology and infrastructure at both ends of the conversation (court and custodial contexts), as well as supporting information to guide defendants within the process.	en_US
