dc.description.abstract	Evidence- based hea lthca re is an expectation in the 21st century. However, how do we ensure that hea lthcare environments and healthcare practitioners are best equipped to make sure this is a rea lity, and that those who receive hea lthcare and their fa milies are in the best position to advocate for nothing less than this expectation. This chapter wi ll look at evidence-based hea lthca re within the pediatric context. Whilst many of the issues relating to the delivery of evidence-based healthcare cross the boundaries of contexts and settings such as appra ising the evidence, overcoming resistance to change and translating such evidence into practice, there remains some key differences in the ped iatric setting which will be touched upon in this chapter.	en_US
