For this abstract the terms Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and Indigenous are interchangeable where appropriate. This thesis had its genesis in 1979 when I was the inaugural caseworker at the Aboriginal Child Care agency in Adelaide, where I was dealing with young Aboriginal men at risk in the community and in the remand centre, where I thought what did the youth considered to be health what was and a healthy lifestyle. The Masters is a literature review of papers relevant of how young Aboriginal men use information technology for their health and wellbeing, identity and resilience. The eight chapters of the thesis comprise of: (i) Introduction; (ii) Research Methods; (iii) Implementation of Indigenous Graduate Attribute in FEIT; (iv) Proposed Implementation of Indigenous Graduate Attribute into research cohort; (v) Health framework; (vi) Proposed Case study – Men’s Shed Mt Druitt; (vii) Conclusion; and (viii) Further Postgraduate Research. In the Further Postgraduate Research chapter the research cohort of the PhD will be integrally involved in the development of a best practice health model for developing social media programs for enhancing Aboriginal youth health, wellbeing and resilience relevant to them but will also be able to be adapted to other young Aboriginal men’s groups.
