Academic integrity is a fundamental building block of scholarship and universities as institutions. However, little attention has been paid to how university teachers can model integrity as part of teaching, learning, and assessment activities. There is the assumption that university teachers will properly attribute the work of others and acknowledge the contributions of colleagues and peers; however, there are multiple factors that may inhibit this process – including the overwork of university teachers, a lack of training in teaching and learning, and an increase in the casualization of the academic workforce. This chapter provides a structured review of how university teachers can embed and model integrity to encourage our students to study and act with integrity.
