(Abstracted from Acta Obstet Gynecol Scand 2024;103:946–954) In high-income countries, there has been an increase in both induction of labor (IOL) and cesarean delivery (CD) in individuals with term pregnancies. On average, the rate of IOL has increased from 20% to 30% from 1990 to 2019, and the rate of CD has increased from 12% to 27% from 1990 to 2018.
