Solidarity is present when people come together to support political interests they have in common with others. Corporeality—one's material existence—is the basis for relations to others, hence a primary dimension of solidarity. Corporeal solidarity arises in and between bodies, and gains effect when it is mobilized collectively to bring about change through collectively organized resistance united by affective relations against oppression, inequality and injustice.
