The purpose of this paper is to investigate if, how and to what extent Indian firms trust in their international suppliers varies according to where partners are located. Despite the vast scape and growth rate of this Asian market, it has not received as much research attention as have other Asian markets, in particular the PRC and Japan. Using the Indian data from the International and Marketing Group s IMP Asia Project, this paper explores the variations in trust that Indian customers experience towards their suppliers in various countries including suppliers from Europe, North America and Australasia. Test of analysis of variance reveals a remarkably similar level of trust across all regions indicating the Indian customer s trust in a foreign-based partner doesn t vary to a great extent according to where a partner is based.
