© 2019 The Royal Society of Chemistry. Biological X-ray fluorescence microscopy (XFM) is an important tool for determining quantitative distributions of bioinorganics and essential trace elements. Here we present a new analysis approach for rapid nanoscale ptychographic imaging and simultaneous chemical mapping of large radiation sensitive specimens without image degradation associated with probe evolution.
